By creating a ShredUp account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you sign up with and for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 16 years old. Tell us promptly at hello@shredup.app if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

This one matters. Foods already in your dictionary are calculated arithmetically from stored nutrition values, but foods resolved for the first time are estimated by a language model and can be wrong. Portion sizes you describe in everyday units are interpreted, not measured.

Treat every number in ShredUp as a good estimate to be checked, not as a laboratory measurement. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on.

ShredUp is a tracking tool, not a healthcare service. Nothing in the app — including targets, consistency scores, tips or generated insights — is medical, dietary or clinical advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about your health, and do not use this app to manage a medical condition or an eating disorder.

• Do not attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Do not probe, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing dataset.
• Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or in a way that degrades it for other people.

The entries you log remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and process them so the service can work — totalling, charting, resolving foods and generating the insights you request.

The ShredUp name, interface, design and software are ours. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service, and nothing more.

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change or be withdrawn as the product develops.

You can stop using ShredUp and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any outcome arising from reliance on estimated nutrition figures.

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified to account holders by email.
